These Green Level Readers (Level 3) are specially designed for children who are learning to read. The books use a carefully controlled vocabulary with mostly decodable words based on the 42 main letter sounds, along with a small number of common “tricky” words. Tricky words and alternative spellings are clearly listed inside the front cover for quick practice. Silent letters are shown in faint type to support accurate reading. Each book also includes comprehension questions and discussion topics to help children understand and enjoy the story, not just read the words.
