Sunbathing

After weeks of grief, a woman leaves behind the familiar and flies to an old villa in the mountains of Abruzzo. Invited by her friends Giulia and Fab to stay in the weeks before their wedding, she finds herself in the villa’s Birthing Room—a space once used by generations of women to welcome new life.

Under the warm summer sun, among orchards, fresh vegetables, and the simple rhythm of daily chores, she begins to navigate her grief. Between reading, cooking, and the quiet intimacy of shared lives, she wrestles with the past, reliving moments with her father and confronting the regrets that shadow her every step.
